New Business

Eric Knudsen made a motion to approve a change to the Chapter By-Laws to allow inclusion of a Student Sub-unit.  The motion was seconded by Keith Wolf and approved by a majority show of hands by the chapter members in attendance.  The wording of the approved motion is as follows: “Move to amend the Chapter By-Laws, by adding the following section: Section 12. The Chapter may include student subsections that are created and operated according to the guidance in the AFS Procedures Manual and whose By-Laws are approved by the Chapter Executive Committee.”

Larry Dominguez made a motion to approve the Resolution to Encourage Treatment of Victoria-area Sewage Discharged to the Strait of Juan de Fuca, brought before the Membership of the Washington-British Columbia Chapter of the American Fisheries Society Annual Meeting on April 22, 2009.  The motion was seconded by Julie Henning and approved by a majority show of hands by the chapter members in attendance (the full Resolution is attached to these minutes).
