EXCOM Teleconference Meeting Minutes – FINAL

Attending: Jim Shannon, Mark Pedersen, Yvonne Muirhead, Lisa Harlan (Asst to Secretary/Treasurer – taking minutes).
Minutes: Quorum not present so no minutes approved.
Officer Reports
President – Jim Shannon: Eric Knudsen and Erin Lowry will be attending the WDAFS Meeting in Salt Lake City next week and Erin will receive the COTY award for the chapter. Jim has received one response for the student scholarship for WDAFS, which will close by the end of the business day tomorrow, April 16. Jim reminded everyone of the 2011 planning meeting in Seattle on April 23rd.
Past President – Larry Dominguez: No report.
President Elect – Mark Pedersen: Mark has started working on the BCHydro scholarships, working with John Morgan. His goal is to announce winners by the end of June. He is working on 2011 on Promotions committee which had their first teleconference earlier in the week. Jessica Hayden-Spear is heading that committee. Mark will be presenting a paper at the National AFS Meeting in Pittsburg.
Vice President – Mark Celedonia: Email report to Jim: Working on 2011 as Master Scheduler.
Secretary/Treasurer – Erin Lowry: Email report to Jim: We will break even for the 2010 AGM.
Newsletter Editor – Geraldine Vander Haegen: Email report to Jim: Sent Jim a draft write-up of the 2010 AGM for submittal to Fisheries and WDAFS newsletter.
Assistant Newsletter Editor – Orlay Johnson: No report.

New Business:
Change Teleconference Time – We are considering changing the meeting time to accommodate everyone’s schedules. Mark P will make a spreadsheet with days and times, which he will send around.
Google Docs – This could become the preferred method for sharing Chapter documents. Jim is planning on including training at the September EXCOM retreat.
