EXCOM Teleconference Meeting Minutes – FINAL

September 7, 2010

Attending: Mark Pedersen, Jim Shannon, Lisa Harlan (Asst to Secretary, taking minutes).

Minutes:  A quorum was not present to approve minutes for Aug 17^th.

Officer Reports

President – Jim Shannon: Discussed the agenda for the Excom Retreat on Sept 25th.  Jim is working on choosing a location for the 2011 Spawning Run.

Past President – Larry Dominguez: No report.

President Elect – Mark Pedersen:  Mark is putting together a talk for a session at Pittsburgh.  He met with Eric Knudsen for 2011 fund-raising.  Mark will take the lead on seeking fishing industry sponsorships.  He is getting ready for the upcoming year as Chapter President.

Vice President – Mark Celedonia: No report.

Secretary/Treasurer – Erin Lowry: No report.

Newsletter Editor – Geraldine Vander Haegen: No report.

Assistant Newsletter Editor – Orlay Johnson: No report.

Old Business:

Archiving – Lisa will talk to Larry regarding sensitivity of documents to be archived.

New Business:

Pacific Marine Expo – This will be in Seattle from November 18 – 20, 2010 this year.  Mark felt it was very advantageous to have a booth there last year and is recommending we have a booth this year.

Action: Mark C will look into details of whether chapter membership can be made automatic when joining or renewing Parent Society membership.

Action: Orlay will contact Geraldine to set up a time for training on the newsletter and website tasks.

Action: Next teleconference we will discuss the budget projecting out for the next 18 months.

Action: Yvonne will assemble a list of possible Canadian locations for the 2012 AGM.
