Planning Updates for April 2011
The Planning team continues to conduct regular call-ins with a growing task list for Committees. We are on the verge of the largest AFS meeting in its 140-year history and we will be needing a substantial number of volunteers to pull off this remarkable event. Contact our Volunteer Coordinator Todd Kassler to see where your best fit would be in the meeting. There are a limited number of spots for student volunteers that maintain an opportunity to receive compensation for services.

******************
In April 2010, The 2011 Planning Team met at the Convention Center to gather a full-scale vision of the largest meeting ever for the American Fisheries Society In Seattle September 2011. There are many opportunities for your or your company and agency to support the meeting. Sponsorships are committing to support the promise of a high-profle event including substantial early sponsors, ENTRIX, Inc. and Smith-Root, Inc. The Socials and Entertainment Committee are planning a memorable Venue and Event and if you will be coming from out of the region - make sure you bring your family along or you will feel bad about the great time you had in a beautiful place without them; don't let that happen.

If you are still considering a part to play in any capacity, (volunteer, sponsor, contributor)please Contact General Arrangements Co-Chairs Cleve Steward (Cleve.steward@amec.com) or Larry Dominguez (LD50_@msn.com) so we can direct you appropriately. Early sponsors are also receiving exposure at various meetings and websites. If you are interested in Sponsorship at any level, contact Eric Knudsen, ericknudsen@gci.net.
